Understanding Body Language signals
To distinguish and understand whether a gesture is a pacifier or a gravity-defying behavior, or whether a gesture is negative or positive. In my own words, there is a way to understand that: 1-Close (as an inward gesture) And 2-Open (as an outward gesture) 1. Close Gestures are mostly negative and pacifiers which means they respond to negative feelings, discomfort, or negative stimuli. Example: A person feeling tension puts his hands on his forehead. Here the gesture is inward meaning towards himself which is the hand against his forehead, a gesture towards oneself you identify it as a closed gesture and you will know it is a negative or pacifying gesture. 2. Open Gestures are mostly positive and can be a gravity-defying behavior Which means they respond to positive feelings, comfort, and positive stimuli.
