Tea Is Therapy: A Mindful Method with Any Drink

Drinking Tea can be a form of mindfulness, and it's not just tea it can be other drinks like juice, coffee, or soda you name it. It is the method I use that undoubtedly clears the mind and enforces you to relax and slow down to be mindful and present at the moment.

It puts the mind at ease from negative emotions or feelings and thoughts which helps a deductionist to be objective or if not a deductionist you can use it as a method or however you like.

Hence, why I would say the phrase ''Tea is therapy". Okay that's for the intro now let me share with you how it is done and you will understand why I call tea a therapy. And if you are curious why not give it a try?

The act of drinking itself is not being mindful but rather a method of approach, it's a way of drinking. I will explain how I do it myself as an example.

Grab a Drink and find yourself a chair to sit on and with table to place your drink. I prefer tea because of its benefits and because it promotes relaxation and alertness and I think tea is a go-to drink for mindfulness.

Okay while seated, I would take the teacup and take a sip, as I sip I would inhale through the nose a little slowly. And exhale a little slowly after taking a sip. Repeat as many times as you prefer. Seems simple enough right?

Yes, but one more thing when I take the first sip while inhaling slowly, I clear and empty my mind of thoughts, feelings, moods, and emotions, just empty the mind, relax, and be in the present moment.

And just like that, I would be in a state of mindfulness. And if I want to solve a problem, I would think about possible solutions as I drink my tea mindfully. And most of the time I always find a solution after I complete my tea.

Like Sherlock Holmes who smokes his pipe for mindfulness while deducing the likely answer a mystery. But in our case, we use a beverage.

And sometimes when I feel low to regulate my emotions and feelings I use this method. And it REALLY helped especially with overthinking.

And there you have it. That is how you can make yourself mindful with a drink. And this is my favorite form of cultivating mindfulness.
